Heavy to intense rainfall and flash flooding is possible with a slow moving, very dangerous thunderstorm near Horsely Park and Liverpool in Sydney.

A VERY DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORM likely to produce heavy, locally intense rainfall that may lead to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding was detected near Horsley Park and Liverpool. This thunderstorm is slow moving. It is forecast to affect Erskine Park and Leppington by 11:50 am and Fairfield by 12:20 pm.
Another severe thunderstorm likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding was detected near Penrith and Warragamba. This thunderstorm is moving towards the southeast. It is forecast to affect Richmond, Camden and Campbelltown by 11:50 am and Parramatta, Sutherland and Helensburgh by 12:20 pm.
Furthermore there was a alert for heavy rainfall and flood risk for parts of South East NSW.
Residents in the Illawarra and South Coast are being urged to prepare for a very wet two-day period as an upper low is forecast to develop from today, combining with a very moist onshore flow.
This is set to generate conditions favourable for heavy rainfall with the risk of both flash and minor riverine flooding from Monday afternoon through the overnight period into Tuesday morning.
Rainfall totals of 50-100mm are expected across the region, with the isolated falls of 100-200mm possible.
Keep an eye on conditions and the latest warnings and follow the advice of emergency services. Remember to never enter floodwater.
Locations which may be affected include Wollongong, Nowra, Bowral, Batemans Bay, Eden and Moruya Heads.
Yesterday severe thunderstorms hit across much of the central eastern inland and southeast bringing a risk of localised Heavy Rainfall leading to flash flooding.
Inland parts may see the additional risks of Damaging Winds (gust > 90 km/h) and Large Hail (diameter > 2cm). The localised Heavy Rainfall may possibly reach Intense thresholds, particularly about the eastern Riverina and South West Slopes.
