Sydney commuters are facing a chaotic trip to work with a snap strike hitting train services across the city early on Thursday morning.
All train lines are affected following the strike action at 3am, with delays across the network.
Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Info on X said commuters travelling between Epping, Chatswood, Central and Sydenham should consider using Metro services.
Rail, Tram and Bus Union … they walked off the job just after 3am this morning for only around five minutes.
“It’s had a big impact because that means the workers who go and inspect the trains, get the trains ready before they roll out into the morning peak, they have been put back in terms of how fast and how quickly they can get things on time and moving.
“So, there have been some delays across every single train network right across Sydney. So, those early birds who would be trying to get to work or to the gym or wherever they need to go to this morning, they have been delayed.”
The strike only lasted a small amount of time, it was at a critical time of day.
